Activities Fair

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are all enjoying the first full week of school :-)... We are scheduled to have a table at the activities fair on Wednesday, September 17th. We will need at least one person to be at the table each lunch period (4-7). If you are interested in helping out, please let me know. We are especially in need of someone to work 4th period. If you are interested either let me know in school or send me an email so that I can give you some more information.

Fund Raiser, Activities Fair, etc.

I'm so glad you all joined the blog. Hopefully the list will keep growing as the school year begins. So for some other random information, I was hoping to put up a poster or something to advertise the club during the activities fair. I assume that it will be a few weeks after school starts, but since we all got our schedules, it is probably time to start thinking about it. The fair runs during all of the lunch periods, so we can sign up by lunch period. I can do fifth period, and I think it would be good to have two people per lunch period. Also, we should start brainstorming fundraising activities for the year. Some of the thoughts that crossed my mind are doing a car wash or a babysitting blitz. On the more radical side, we could have teachers volunteer to dress up in togas and take pictures during the lunch periods for a dollar... or they could pull people in a chariot. Haha. Any other ideas??

If you are interested in helping out at the activities fair during your lunch period, you can post which period you are available and I will start to set up a schedule.

Welcome to the Acton Boxborough Classics Club Blog!!

I hope everyone is having a good summer. School is just around the corner... so it is time to start planning for the classics club. I assume everyone is signed up to take latin next year :-) so you are all welcome to join the classics club. We are going to meet every other week starting in the latter portion of September from 2:30-3:30. The club will attend various events throughout the year, such as the catapult contest, BU classics day, Holy Cross classics day, and other certamen scrimmages. It will be a lot of fun. We are also going to make t-shirts and sweatshirts to display our latin pride. More news on the clothes will be posted later. Email at any time with any questions.
